What is Round Dancing?

Round dancing is a form of choreographed and cued ballroom dancing. You dance as a couple, and move in a circular pattern that rotates counter-clockwise around the dance floor. There are several different rhythms of round dancing, including but not limited to:
Waltz, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Two Step, Jive, and more!

Is there an instructor?

Yes, a round dance "cuer" will be on stage giving cues over the music of the song you are dancing to. He/she will announce before the dance, the rhythm and "phase" of the song about to be played.

What is a round dance "phase"?

There are several different levels of round dances, and they are called "phases". Round dance phases can range in difficulty. Typically a "Phase II" dance will be beginners/simple, whereas a "Phase IV" or higher will be more difficult/challenging.

Does the Hayloft Barn offer round dance lessons?

The Hayloft has several different round dance instructors who host lessons/dances on different days of the week.
